2019 faith goals

It’s the time of the year again when most people are hustling with the Christmas rush. Everyone gets so agitated that they spend more money this season, not to mention spending more time – squeezing more hours they can to look for fancy gifts to give for gift giving and find great decorations to spruce up their trees at home. If kids are delighted to see the trees surrounded with presents, adults get worked up beautifying them so it’ll look good for their Instagram posts. I am guilty of that, too. I am no exemption. I tell you.

While we’re all swamped with the hassle and busy world of Christmas season, I get so busy to what should I look forward to after this season. What should I do differently that I haven’t done last year? If I haven’t achieved these (faith goals 2018), it means I am doing the wrong way and should come up with a better one this year. Most call this a New Year’s Resolution and often write them down on new year (or before). Some call it Bucket List. For me, it’s kind of a trend imparted by the Victory church since I joined the congregation, it’s Faith Goals. Something I set goal for in hope to achieve them by faith and with prayers.

I often write this before using my new journal for the year.

Each year, I list down the things I want to accomplish this current year and pray for them. The list of faith goals I was not able to achieve last year, it would still be on this list and continue to pray for them until it get answered and done.

Here are some goals listed for 2019 :

Deeper Relationship With GOD.

We all have ups and downs and I won’t deny the fact that my relationship with God is on the rocks this year. I seldom read the word and pray. I seldom go to church and attend the VG meetings especially when I had an accident and was required to either stay at my sister’s place or go home to province and stay with my family. This time, I want to spend more time with me and God. Read the word and attend church services as much as I can so I am feed with encouraging words and spend time with people with the same faith.

Quality Time & Travel With Family.

This year is amazing because my siblings and I get to have more time with our parents. We go out to eat and have coffee. We had family summer outing for 3 consecutive years now and we get to talk more. We have video chat just so to update everyone else how our days were going and so it’s easier when there are decisions we have to make as family. We get to plan together for future deals and check on other’s schedules for future dates out.

This time, I wanted us to have MORE quality time. Where we can talk not because we have to decide on something but we get to talk because we feel like discussing anything under the sun. More travels aside from the yearly family outing – out of town anniversary celebration for parents and birthday celebration of members. More boodle fight at home. I am excited to see this happen next year!

Explore & Travel.

I haven’t had the chance to travel since the day my sister, Sasha, had Zhieho. One reason is, she is one of my companion whenever I travel. Two, one friend whom we travel with, Grace, got married last year and of course, her husband is priority now. Hahhaha. And Mitch, has a shifting schedule at work and travels according to her schedule, which obviously, doesn’t match any of ours. Another friend who loves climbing mountains and loves to travel got married early this year and just had a baby and it seemed to be unavailable to schedule a climb and caving. There are friends who invited me to travel internationally, but my schedule wouldn’t just permit me.

This year, I want to include traveling a goal so I will have the urge to push the plan to go out and explore.

I have a lot in my list, but let them stay in my journal.

What have you been looking forward to this 2019? Have an expectant heart and prepare your hands to receive the blessings God has in store for you!

Happy Holidays to ALL!
